Apply for a commercial license under Short Term Accommodation Activities and choose Vacation Homes Rental with activity code 5510.98.
With your business license, you can provide short-term accommodation provided by hotels, resort hotels, suite/apartment hotels, motels, motor hotels, guesthouses, pensions, bed and breakfast units, visitor flats and bungalows, time-share units, holiday homes, chalets, housekeeping cottages and cabins, youth hostels, and mountain refuges.
You can provide rental accommodation primarily to visitors who stay for a limited period, such as daily or weekly. This activity is only allowed outside of the UAE. You can rent furnished guest rooms, suites, and fully self-contained units with your Vacation Homes Rental license. Periodically or daily, it may be necessary to perform housekeeping services. Additional services you can offer include food and beverage services, parking, laundry, recreational facilities, and swimming pools.
Also included are short-term accommodations offered by various establishments such as hotels, resort hotels, motels, guesthouses, bed and breakfast units, visitor flats and bungalows, time-share units, holiday homes, chalets, housekeeping cottages and cabins, youth hostels, and mountain retreats or vacation houses.
It is not permitted to conduct this activity within the UAE. Furthermore, this activity does not include renting out furnished or unfurnished apartments, homes, or flats for a long term, such as on a monthly or annual basis. Likewise, it excludes offering property appraisals, buying or selling real estate, renting real estate, and acting as an escrow agent.
Vacation Homes Rental activities do not require third-party approval.
Engaging in the Vacation Homes Rental business is not subject to regulatory obligations such as Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) or Economic Substance Regulations (ESR).
