Formation and License Cancellation

Description

When a company ceases to conduct its business in Meydan Free Zone for any reason, it is required to initiate formation cancellation. A Company Cancellation Certificate will be issued as a proof of the company’s dissolution.

Steps

  • Log in to our customer portal https://portal.meydanfz.ae Located on our website or call us on 800 FZ1 (800 391) to help you log into your account.
  • Submit the required documents and complete the payment.
  • Receive a timeline.
  • Receive a copy of cancellation via email.

Fees

  • AED 2,000
  • Fee applicable only once for license and formation cancellation.

Documents Required

  • Board Resolution
  • Shareholder Resolution/Board resolution- stating intent to close and reason why, mentioned bank account details where we can transfer funds.
  • Bank Closure Letter
  • Custom Clearance Letter – companies with trading activity only.
  • Original Copies of MOA/AMOA (if applicable)
  • Original Copies of Lease Agreement (if applicable)
  • Liquidation Report
  • Proof of all active visas & establishment card cancellation.
  • Clearances from third party authorities and departments like DEWA, DU, Etisalat…

Parent Company Documents
  • Notarised or Attested documents by the issuing authority where the parent company has been formed.
Parent Company Documents (if applicable)
  • Documents issued in other foreign languages should be legally translated to English or Arabic.
