Dependent Visa
A resident holding an Investor/Partner, or an Employment Visa can sponsor his/her spouse and children (see conditions for eligibility) to live and work in the UAE by applying for a Dependent Visa. This service offered by Meydan Free Zone includes the application of the dependent’s visa from entry, change of status (if applicable), medical examination, Emirates ID application and issuance of the visa.

- Sponsoring sons A male or female resident can sponsor his/her son/s until he is 25. Sons of determination (those with special needs) can be sponsored with no restrictions with regard to his/ their age/s.

- Sponsoring newborns For babies born in the UAE, a residence visa must be applied for, within 120 days of its birth to avoid getting fines.

UID Number Request & Merging

UID Number Request & Merging
The Unified Identification Number (UID) is a six-digit number automatically assigned to anyone who enters the UAE. The number is used as an identification tool for individuals entering the UAE and to maintain Immigration records. It is also necessary for residence visa applications and Emirates ID processing. Meydan Free Zone's UID Number Merging service can be initiated in cases where individuals are assigned multiple UID numbers, which creates duplicate records in the Immigration System. Duplicate records will cause problems upon entering and exiting the UAE and when applying for residency visas. Therefore, multiple UID numbers must be merged for Immigration records to be reconciled.

Movement Report
A movement report or commonly known as entry/exit report is a list of all the entry and exit dates of an individual from and to the UAE. Document Legal Translation
Meydan Free Zone provides translation services for documents that are originally in English or any other language. Since the administrative language of the UAE government is Arabic, any document to be submitted or processed through a government department/entity in UAE requires legal translation from its original language to Arabic. Additionally, the service is inclusive of those documents in foreign languages which are to be translated into English. *In the case of foreign documents, it must first be attested in the home country and then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the UAE before being legally translated

Customs Code
To import/export goods into the UAE, businesses in Dubai must register with Dubai Customs, and will then be provided with a Customs code for the clearance of goods. VAT Registration

VAT Registration
Value Added Tax or VAT is a tax on the consumption or use of goods and services. A VAT of 5% is levied at the point of sale. Businesses collect and account for the tax on behalf of the government. There are two types of VAT Registration: mandatory and voluntary. Businesses must register for VAT with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) if their taxable supplies and imports exceed the mandatory threshold of AED 375,000 from the last 12 months or in the next 30 days. Businesses may choose to register for VAT voluntarily if their supplies and imports or expenses are less than the mandatory threshold but exceed the voluntary threshold of AED 187,500 from the last 12 months or in the next 30 days. This latter opportunity to register voluntarily is designed to enable start-up businesses with no turnover to register for VAT. This service includes assistance in the collection of required documents and VAT registration to the Federal Tax Authority only. This service does not include consultation.
