You can offer fabrics in rolls, bolts, or bundles, allowing retailers and businesses to purchase the desired quantity tailored to their needs. You may also specialize in particular materials, such as cotton, silk, polyester, and wool, or specialty fabrics, like lace, denim, or upholstery. You can serve as an intermediary between fabric manufacturers or importers and the end-users, facilitating the distribution of materials in large quantities to various industries and businesses.

Inclusions

Your wholesale business license for textiles, clothing, and footwear allows you to engage in a comprehensive range of wholesale activities related to textiles, clothing, and footwear. With it, you can wholesale yarns, fabrics, and household linen. Additionally, you can wholesale haberdashery products like needles and sewing thread with your license. The extent of the license also includes the wholesale of clothing, including sports clothes and the wholesale of clothing accessories like gloves, ties, and braces. You can also engage in wholesale activities such as footwear, fur articles, and umbrellas.

Exclusions

Your wholesale business license for textiles, clothing, and footwear class expressly excludes the wholesale of jewellery and leather goods and the wholesale of textile fibers. This means you are permitted to engage in wholesale activities related to textiles, clothing, and footwear; you are not allowed to wholesale items such as jewelry or leather goods. Additionally, your license does not cover the wholesale of textile fibers.  

Third-Party Approval

To operate a wholesale fabric business (4641.02), you do not need approval from a third party.

ESR & UBO

The wholesale Trading of Fabrics in Dubai is exempt from UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Ownership) and ESR (Economic Substance Regulations) requirements. UBO refers to the identification and reporting of individuals who have ultimate ownership or control over a business entity, while ESR pertains to regulations that require businesses to demonstrate legitimate economic activity and substance within the jurisdiction where they operate.

AML

Wholesale fabrics trading is not subject to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations. AML regulations in Dubai primarily focus on preventing and detecting money laundering and terrorist financing activities.
