Dental activities in operating rooms, the licensed provision of complex dental surgical procedures performed under general anaesthesia or sedation in a dedicated operating-room setting, serve the most clinically complex end of Dubai's dental market.¹

This activity covers dental surgery that cannot be safely or effectively performed in a standard dental chair, including impacted wisdom-tooth extraction under general anaesthesia, orthognathic surgery, complex implantology, and dental treatment for patients with special needs or severe dental anxiety.

For operators, dental operating-room services command premium pricing per case, attract specialist referrals from general dental practitioners, and serve a growing demand base driven by implantology, cosmetic dentistry, and paediatric dental surgery under sedation.²

That sustained demand for quality healthcare, specialist capacity, and population growth is exactly where the opportunity lies.

The UAE has positioned healthcare as a strategic priority under We the UAE 2031, with explicit targets for capacity expansion, quality, Emiratisation, and medical tourism.

Maxillofacial surgery performed in a hospital inpatient setting falls under hospital activity codes.

In short: if you are performing dental procedures in a licensed operating-room setting under anaesthesia, you are in. If you are running a standard dental clinic, an orthodontic practice, or a hospital, you are not.
